MEDICUBE AGE-R Booster Pro + PDRN Booster Gel Set
Best for: Skin that wants firmer, smoother, more lifted-looking results at home — and anyone who would rather buy the full-size device once than work up to it.
Step: + Device — Treatment Device (used after your toner or essence, before your cream)
Routine: 2–3 times a week, PM
High-level description: The full-size AGE-R Booster Pro with the PDRN Booster Moisturizing Gel (300ml) — Medicube's four-mode facial device together with a generous tub of the slip layer it works best over. £200 for the set, against £208.50 bought separately.
What is in the set
- AGE-R Booster Pro (Black) — £190 on its own. Four modes, five intensity levels, five LED colours, surgical steel head, skin-contact sensor, 155g.
- PDRN Booster Moisturizing Gel, 300ml — £18.50 on its own. Ceramides, collagen and multi-weight hyaluronic acid, with PDRN (Sodium DNA) alongside.
The four modes, and what each one is actually for
The Booster Pro is not one treatment with a dial on it. It is four separate modes, each doing a different job, and you do not have to use all of them in every session.
- Air Shot — pores. Medicube describes it as helping “to improve the appearance of pores”, particularly across wide-pored areas like the T-zone and U-zone. This is the one mode used on clean, dry skin, before anything else goes on.
- Booster — absorption and glow. Medicube describes it as enhancing “the absorption of active ingredients… helping to boost overall glow and skin vitality”. This is the workhorse. It is the mode that turns a serum or essence into a deeper treatment rather than something sitting on the surface, and the one most people reach for most often.
- MC — volume. Medicube describes it as caring “for more volumised appearance in areas prone to sagging, such as around the eyes and mouth”.
- Derma Shot — definition. Medicube describes it as “optimised to target areas of the skin where more definition is needed” — jawline and cheek contour.
Every mode has five intensity levels. Start on level one and only move up when it feels genuinely comfortable. More intensity is not more result.
A session, in order
- Double cleanse and pat the skin dry.
- Air Shot on dry, bare skin — T-zone, nose and chin. One to two minutes.
- Apply a generous layer of the PDRN Booster Gel, or a watery essence, so the skin is properly wet and slippy.
- Booster over the whole face in slow strokes. Three to five minutes.
- Then MC, then Derma Shot, working upwards and outwards over the areas you want to focus on.
- Wipe the head clean and dry, then carry on with the rest of your routine — and SPF in the morning, always.
Why the gel is in this set
Every mode except Air Shot needs a wet, conductive layer between the metal head and your skin. Without one the head drags, the current cannot spread evenly, and the session is both uncomfortable and less effective. It is the single most common mistake people make with an at-home device.
Medicube does not require one specific gel, and a watery essence will conduct perfectly well. What the PDRN Booster Gel gives you is enough of it. At 300ml it is the size you can afford to be generous with, and generous is exactly what a device session needs — trying to run a device on the last few drops of a 30ml serum is how a device ends up used once a month and then left in a drawer.
It is also not a throwaway conductor. Ceramides, collagen and multi-weight hyaluronic acid with PDRN (Sodium DNA) make it a proper gel moisturiser in its own right — light, non-greasy and comfortable on oily and combination skin. On the nights you do not use the device, it is simply your moisturiser.
What Medicube's own testing showed
Tested by Medicube with the Global Institute of Dermatological Sciences: skin absorption efficiency +763.3%, plumper-looking skin +70.4%, appearance of pores −34.56%, and 100% of testers agreed skin felt smoother and the complexion looked clearer and more radiant. These are the brand's own test figures rather than independent clinical trials, and Medicube notes that results may vary depending on individual skin type.
Good to know before you start
This one works with a gentle electrical current, so it is not for everyone. Please skip it if you have a pacemaker or another implanted electronic device, a heart condition, a seizure disorder or active cancer, or if you are pregnant. Over-18s only. Keep it off broken skin and inflamed spots, take your jewellery off first, and keep the head moving rather than resting it in one place.
A note on the gel's packaging: the PDRN Booster Gel in this set may arrive with a marked outer carton, or without the carton. This is packaging only — the gel itself is new, sealed and completely unused, and the set price reflects it. If you would prefer a perfect carton, please do get in touch before ordering and we will let you know what we have.
Availability: this set is built around the last of our current Booster Pro stock.
